Managing Client Users for an Organizer

Client users must be added to the organizer by a firm user. The name of the first assigned client user displays in the upper left part of the organizer. If there are multiple assigned client users, a number badge displays next to the name to indicate the total number of client users assigned. You can hover your mouse over the number to view the list of client users.

Use the procedure below to view and modify the list of client users assigned to an organizer.

Note: If you assign a new or existing client user to the organizer after it has been sent to other client users, a welcome email with the organizer URL will be sent automatically to the newly assigned user.

  1. Open the organizer, if it isn't already open.
  2. In the upper left corner, click Client Users to display the Organizer Client Users window. All client users currently assigned to the organizer are listed.
  3. Do any of the following as needed:
    • ClosedAdd a new client user.
      1. Click Add client user.
      2. Enter the email address for the client in the Client user ID (email address) box.
      3. Enter the email address again in the Confirm client user ID (email address) box.
      4. Enter the client user's name in the Contact name box.
      5. Click Create.
    • ClosedAssign an existing user.
      1. Click Add client user.
      2. Enter the email address for the client in the Client user ID (email address) box. As you type, existing client users who match the characters entered display at the bottom of the window.
      3. When you see the existing client user who you want to add, click in the Actions column for that client user.
    • ClosedCopy the client users from another organizer for the same client.
      1. Click Copy client users.
      2. Search for the source organizer by the client name or ID or by the binder name or ID. The source organizer must be for the same client as this organizer.
      3. Click Copy.
    • ClosedUnassign a client user.

      Click next to the client user name in the Assigned client users section. If the client user is not assigned to any other organizers, the client user is permanently deleted. However, the client user can be added back in the future if needed.

  4. Click the X in the upper right to close the window.
